Raised on and working the ranches in Eastern New Mexico gave Richard and his brother Glenn who co- writes all the songs an honest perspective of cowboy life and ways that come out in their songs and music.
Richard has recorded five CDs including "Bringing Water To The Land", "Morning Coffee", Fall Roundup", "Many A Mile", and "Old Houses". He has performed at various venues including live interviews on multiple radio stations, performances in New Mexico, Texas (including the Fort Worth Stock Show), Colorado, California, Washington, Canada, The Western Music Association National Show, The New Mexico Music Awards where he has been nominated fifteen times and has won six awards. His third CD "Morning Coffee" was a finalist for ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the Western Music Association Annual Awards Show in Albuquerque where he was showcased twice. His music has been reviewed in Western Way, American Cowboy, Canadian Cowboy Country, and New Mexico magazines as well as Cowboy Poetry.com.
Richard is an active member of Western Music Association, Academy Of Western Artists, International Bluegrass Music Association, The Recording Academy, and Americana Music Association.
